In their training, students often learn about the history of interior decoration of their profession. This can be a very important to give context to their later careers. In this article I will draw on my experience as an interior designer and educator, to discuss the history of this fascinating subject.

Interior designers were first professional based in London – the British on Egyptian techniques of decorative household objects fascinated and I wanted the same for themselves. London families are necessarily an interior designer to create magical spaces for fitting inside use. As an interior designer has been recognized as a consultant for, they are increasingly the need to rely on history to create fabulous results. This was particularly true in the preparation of projects on historic houses in London and listed buildings – they saw historical reflections as a means of preserving the past while looking toward the future.

The ancient Romans

In ancient Rome, has called for citizens of comfort, luxury and wealth. These elements are still important to the work of interior designers in the world today. The decor, tapestries and brick landmark still as timeless and popular in London as in Tokyo or Sydney. The ancient Romans revered and loved furniture, quality fabrics and expensive fabrics.

MONASTIC TIMES

After the collapse of Roman rule, took power and the church greatly discouraged most creative designers of the Interior. Luxurious interior were removed and the interior designers were told to quiet and easy to install oak with dark lines and sharp edges. This influence was felt throughout Europe – from London to Florence.

REBIRTH AND RENAISSANCE

The Renaissance was the golden age of French interior or professional French-inspired. It was a new era of elegance and sophistication, which saw the rebuilding of the community interior designer in London and make a living space fresh, creative and beautiful. A feeling of “palace” has been rediscovered, interior designers, and began to take advantage of new transport routes to pass through London on the continent and in North and South America to discover his work behind and to prefigure the next generation design.

This leads to one end of my article, that the work of the Interior has changed over time. In my next article I will, as an interior designer reflect the use of the mode of procedure for big impact.
