Taking the reader step by step through the features of AutoCAD, Alf Yarwood provides a practical, structured course of work matched to the latest release of this software. Introducing first principles and the creation of 2D technical drawings, the author goes on to demonstrate construction of 3D solid model drawings and rendering of 3D models. Now separated into a separate section, 3D modelling is addressed extensively, reflecting the major revision this use of AutoCAD has undergone as part of the latest software release. I was expecting a more detailed book to use in learning ACAD 2007. This book is very brief. You need to have another book, one of the larger AutoCad books, to learn the program. This book is best as a reference. Saying that though, I really like the book. The artwork is great, text and color crisp and very readable. Now if the author will make it a real introduction to Acad it would definitely rate a “5+”.
